Maven Print is a Cape Town-based print management and brand execution business founded by Christopher Bates.

With extensive experience across print, procurement, supplier coordination and physical brand rollout work, Maven was built to help businesses get the right brand materials produced, packed, delivered and managed properly.

Our role is not simply to sell print. Our role is to help clients manage the moving parts around print, signage, packaging, branded merchandise, fulfilment, distribution and rollout support.

We combine industry experience, supplier knowledge, production judgement and modern workflow tools to make the process easier for our clients.

Built on print industry experience across two generations

Maven Print was founded by Christopher Bates, who has spent his career working across print, procurement, production and physical brand execution.

Over the years, Christopher has worked with more than 30 listed and corporate companies operating across the Southern African region, supporting businesses with print, packaging, signage, campaign material, procurement, fulfilment and rollout-related requirements.

Maven also carries a deeper family connection to the industry.

Christopher’s late father, Charles Bates, was active in the print and brand execution space for many years, providing rollout print execution for major brands and corporate groups including BAT, Distell Corporation, the Mobil to Engen rebrand, Foschini, Truworths, Woolworths and others.

That background shaped Maven’s practical understanding of the industry: physical brand execution is not just about producing print. It is about understanding deadlines, specifications, suppliers, logistics, brand consistency and the pressure of getting material into the market correctly.

Today, Maven builds on that experience with a modern, production-neutral approach — helping clients manage print, signage, packaging, branded material, fulfilment and rollout requirements through one accountable partner.
